Romulus includes a company address book shared across all users on your team. When a number is saved in the address book, the contact's name appears automatically during calls β both incoming and outgoing β instead of just the number.
Where to find it
From the side menu, click Contacts.
How to add contacts
Manually
Click the New contact button in the top-right corner.
Select + Create from the menu that appears.
Fill in the contact fields: first name, last name, phone number, company, role, and other optional information.
Save to add the contact to the address book.
Import from CSV file
If you already have an existing address book, you can import it into Romulus in a few steps:
Click the New contact button in the top-right corner.
Select Import from the menu that appears.
The "Import contacts from CSV" screen opens. Drag your CSV file into the upload area, or click Select file to upload it from your computer. The file can be up to 10 MB.
If your CSV file has a header row with column names (e.g. "Phone", "Name"), check the box "My CSV file contains a header row with column names". This makes it easier to map the columns correctly during import.
Click Validate file to start the import.
π‘ Tip: always include a header row in your CSV file β it makes mapping fields much easier during the import process.
Automatic sync via integrations
If you use a CRM or other tools connected to Romulus, contacts can be synced automatically with no manual input required. See the Integrations section of the help center for details on supported tools.
The address book is shared across the whole team
Contacts added to the address book are visible to all team members, not just the person who added them. This means that when a customer calls, everyone on the team sees their name β regardless of who originally saved the contact.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see the contact's name during calls?
The name only appears if the caller's number is saved in the address book. Check that the number is correctly saved in the Contacts section, including the international dialling code (e.g. +44 for the UK).
Can I edit or delete a contact?
Yes. Click the three dots ... next to the contact in the list to access the edit and delete options.
Are contacts synced in real time with my CRM?
It depends on the integration configured. See the Integrations section for details on the sync options available for your tool.
