Quick Start — Add Recipients and Launch in 5 Minutes
Ready to set up your campaign recipients?
In the campaign editor, drag and drop your CSV file into the upload area
Map your CSV columns to the Romulus variables
Set your calling time windows (or leave empty to call anytime)
Choose Start Now or Schedule a future date
Done. Your agent will start calling at the configured time.
Before You Start
This guide covers adding recipients and scheduling. You need a campaign already created (with a name, agent, and outbound number selected) before following these steps.
Adding Recipients
Scroll to the Who Do You Want to Call To? section. Two options:
Option A — CSV Upload (recommended for large lists)
Before you begin
Prepare your CSV with column headers in the first row (e.g. Phone Number, Name, Email)
Make sure the phone number format starts with the country code. and then the phone number — For example: 1202XXXXXXX.
Maximum file size: 10MB
Drag and drop the CSV into the upload area, or click Select File.
Use the Column Mapping Setup icon to match your file's columns to Romulus variables: Phone number, Email, Name, Time zone, Custom 1, Custom 2, Custom 3.
Review the recipients table on the right to confirm the data looks correct.
Option B — Manual Entry
Click Add New Recipients.
Enter the contact details: phone number, email, name, time zone.
Repeat for each contact.
Setting the Call Schedule
In the When Do You Want to Place Calls? section, define when your agent makes calls. Leave empty to call immediately at any time.
Expand the Call Time Intervals section.
For each day you want calls placed, click + Add Interval on that day's row.
Set the start and end time for that day's calling window.
Repeat for each day of the week.
You can add multiple windows per day — for example 9 AM–12 PM and 2 PM–5 PM.
Setting the Start Time
Start Now tab — launches immediately when you click the launch button
Schedule tab — set a specific future date and time. Use the date/time picker and confirm the correct time zone.
The campaign only places calls during the time windows you configured — even if it has been launched. If no windows are set, it will call at any time.
Common Issues
My CSV is not uploading
Make sure the file is under 10MB and is in CSV format. Check that the first row contains column headers, not data.
The column mapping is not matching my fields
Your CSV column names must be recognizable for auto-mapping. If mapping fails, manually select the correct variable for each column from the dropdown.
My campaign is not calling at the right time
Check the time zone setting in the campaign. Also verify the Call Time Intervals are set correctly for the days you want calls to go out.
