Quick Start — Get a Number in 3 Minutes
Need a phone number for your agent?
Option A — Buy a new Romulus number:
Phone Numbers → + Add Number → Add Phone Number → select country/area/number → Purchase
Option B — Use your existing business number:
Phone Numbers → Verified Caller IDs tab → + Add Number → enter number → answer the verification call → enter the 6-digit code
The Phone Numbers Section
From the side menu, click Phone Numbers. This section has two tabs:
Phone Numbers — lists all Romulus numbers you have purchased
Verified Caller IDs — lists your own external numbers verified for outbound use
Buying a New Romulus Number
Before you begin
Make sure you have a valid payment method set up in Settings → Billing and Balances.
How to buy
Click the + Add Number button in the top right corner.
Select Add Phone Number from the dropdown.
In the Buy Your Number modal, select the Country.
Select the Area code.
Select an available Phone Number.
Click Proceed to Buy.
Review Immediate Charges — the prorated charge from today to your next renewal.
Review Renewal Charges — the recurring monthly cost going forward.
Enter a discount code if you have one.
Click Purchase.

Assigning a Number to an Agent
After buying, assign the number so the agent receives inbound calls on it.
On the Phone Numbers tab, find the number to assign.
Click the three-dot menu on that row.
Select Edit.
Enter a Name label for the number (e.g. "Main Line", "After-Hours Line").
Use the Select Agent dropdown to choose which agent handles calls on this number.
Click Save Changes.
Adding a Verified Caller ID
Use this to make outbound calls showing your real business number — so recipients see your number instead of a Romulus system number.
Before you begin
Make sure you are available to answer the verification call immediately — it comes in right after you click Verify.
How to verify
Click the Verified Caller IDs tab.
Click + Add Number.
Enter a Name for this number (e.g. "Office", "Sales Line").
Enter the phone number with the country code.
Click Verify number.
Romulus immediately calls that number. Answer it.
Listen to the six-digit verification code read out during the call.
Enter the code into the six input boxes on screen.
The verification call comes in immediately. If you miss it, click Retry to trigger another call. Once verified, assign this number as the Outbound Number in the agent's Settings tab.
Common Issues
My country is not available in the dropdown
Contact Romulus support. The team can assist with numbers in unsupported regions.
I didn't receive the verification call
Click Retry in the verification code modal. Make sure the number entered is correct and can receive calls.
I purchased a number but no calls are coming in
Check that the number has been assigned to an agent. Go to the three-dot menu on the number row and click Edit to verify the agent assignment.
