This guide explains how to upload training materials for your Romulus AI Chatbot so it can answer customer questions accurately.
How to access the section
From the Romulus Control Panel side menu, click Chat, then Chatbot. Select the chatbot you want to train from the Your Chatbots list, then click Train Your AI Chatbot.
The section has six tabs: Website, File Upload, Google Sheets, FAQ's, Un-answered Questions, and Other Sources.
Add a Website
Click the Website tab.
In the Enter website URL* field, type the URL of your website or a specific page.
Open the Import Preference dropdown and choose between:
— Scan all Pages: scans all available pages (slower, more complete)
— Scan a Single Page: scans only the specified page (faster)Click Import & Train.
The system will scan the site and organize the content into categories. You can view and manage the imported categories under the Website Content section using the visibility toggle or View Details.
⚠️ Note: You can update, disable, or remove imported content at any time from the same screen.
Upload a File
Click the File Upload tab.
Click + Upload File to upload a company document.
Supported formats: PDF, TXT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, CSV, XLS, XLSX.
⚠️ Note: Uploaded files can be managed using the Actions column in the file table.
Connect a Google Sheet
Click the Google Sheets tab.
Click Connect your Google Sheet.
Follow the prompts to connect your Google account and select the sheet to use for training.
Enter FAQs
Click the FAQ's tab.
Click Add Category to create a new FAQ category.
Add questions and answers within the category.
To edit or delete a category or question, use the Actions column.
Un-answered Questions
Click the Un-answered Questions tab to review questions the AI was unable to answer. Use this information to improve your training materials over time.
At this point, your AI Chatbot is ready to generate accurate, consistent responses for your Customers and Leads.
FAQ
Can I use multiple training sources at the same time?
Yes. You can combine a website, one or more files, a Google Sheet, and FAQs. The AI will use all active sources when generating responses.
How many pages are imported from my website?
It depends on the option selected. Scan all Pages imports all accessible pages. Scan a Single Page imports only the page you specified.
How do I know when training is complete?
The Training Status column in the file or category table will show COMPLETED when the process has finished.
